Letter from the President

Welcome to the Learning Forward New Hampshire site!  We are so proud to be an affiliate within a state that has such a strong interest and focus on professional learning and development.  As a PLD resource for our state, Learning Forward New Hampshire aims to help augment and facilitate the best PLD opportunities so that all educators are provided (and providing) excellent learning opportunities.  In order to meet the diverse needs of New Hampshire, the board of Learning Forward New Hampshire has members from around the state and from positions across the education fields.

Our ultimate vision is to provide leadership and support for standards-based professional learning in order to build educator capacity and effectiveness in service of student learning.  Our mission is one that is shared with our National Affiliate: “Learning Forward builds the capacity of educators to establish and sustain highly effective professional learning.”  As a public service organization, we accomplish this purpose by promoting the vision and definition of high quality professional learning and by facilitating educators’ use of tools developed by our national organization, Learning Forward.  Typical activities include conferences, workshops, book talks, graduate courses, and professional conversations.

As presidents of Learning Forward New Hampshire, we welcome you to contact any members of our affiliate to get involved or to engage our expertise in professional learning and development in New Hampshire. As we are getting this new site up and running, please feel free to follow us on Twitter at @LFNewHampshire.

We hope to see you at our Annual Fall Conference!

Thank you and enjoy the resources.

– Amy Parkinson (SAU 53)
